We are proud to host the 2019 Healing ALS Conference Event at the beautiful Radisson Downtown, conveniently located in downtown Salt Lake City, walking distance from Temple Square and the beautiful Mormon Tabernacle gardens.
- This venue is just 5 miles from Salt Lake City airport, and can be reached most easily using the Trax Light Rail system. The entire route from the SLC Airport to the Radisson Lobby is wheelchair and scooter friendly.
- The Radisson Downtown Hotel and Conference Center has an in-hotel restaurant, convenience shop, gym, pool and convenient ADA restrooms.

NOTE: The Radisson is now completely booked for Thursday night, but you may still be able to make reservations with promotional code ALS for Friday, Saturday and Sunday by calling the hotel directly.

Special Needs
We want to make sure everyone can be comfortably accommodated at this event, so please be so kind as to request an ADA accessible room only if you absolutely need one. That way these rooms are available for those with the greatest mobility challenges.
Please note that all of the Radisson Downtown hotel rooms are wheelchair accessible. The ADA rooms have additonal features that will make things easier, especially for those unable to transfer on their own. These features include special sinks, wheel-in showers or built-in bath benches.
There will also be a limited number of portable bath benches that can be placed in the bathtub of regular rooms for those people for whom it is inconvenient to bring their own.

Getting To and From The Hotel

There are several options to get from the airport to the hotel.
- TRAX light rail system. We highly recommend this option. The Green Line runs every 15 to 20 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport to Downtown Salt Lake City and directly to the Temple Square stop that is one block down the street from the Radisson Downtown. It is a 21 minute ride and costs $2.50 for a one way trip. Ticket dispensers are conveniently located at the airport and each station. All TRAX trains are wheelchair accessible with state-of-the-art automatic ramps and doors. Things to keep in mind are:
- It is about 350 steps from Terminal 1 baggage claim (all except Delta) to the TRAX platform.
- It is about 650 steps from Terminal 2 baggage claim (Delta and affiliates) to the TRAX platform
- The stop you get off is called "Temple Square". You will see the Radisson Hotel on your right, just moments before reaching the Temple Square stop.
- It is about 250 steps from the Temple Square stop to the Radisson Hotel lobby. The entire walkway is wheelchair friendly.
- Taxi, Uber or Lyft. This costs $15 to $25 depending on size of vehicle and carrier. It is 15 to 20 minutes from the airport to the Radisson Downtown Salt Lake City. Most times of day, traffic is minimal.
- Wheelchair Van with Lift Airport Shuttle - Although TRAX accommodates electric wheelchairs very well, some may prefer door to door airport transport in vans equipped with wheelchair lifts. There are two companies we recommend. Please call ahead and reserve if you need a van that can accommodate an electric wheelchair. The cost from the airport to the hotel is approximately $45 to $55 each way.

Hotel rates and how to reserve your room:
We have negotiated a hotel conference rate of $119 per night plus taxes and fees, which will total approximately $131 per night. The discounted rate extends from Oct 16 - Oct 22 for those who wish to stay longer. To reserve your room:
- Click Book Room Now button below.
- Enter your check-in and check-out dates (ex: Oct 17 - Oct 21) Since we are beginning early in the morning Friday October 18, we suggest you plan to arrive the day before, on Thursday, October 17. The conference will end at 5:30 PM, Sunday, October 20.
- NOTE: THE RADISSON IS SOLD OUT FOR THURSDAY NIGHT ONLY. You can make arrangements for Thursday night only at one of the hotels listed above.
- You can still book your room for Friday, October 18 through Tuesday, October 22 at the promotional rate at the Radisson Hotel.
- Choose the number of guests who will be occupying the room at the Radisson.
- Under "Special Rates", select: Promotional Code.
- Enter Promotional Code of "ALS". If the $119 rate does not immediately appear click on "Book Now" and the correct price will be on the checkout page. (If $119 does not appear on the checkout page, double check that your dates and the ALS promotional code are correct.)
- Choose "2 Queen Beds" or one "King Bed."

About the Hotel and Nearby Amenities
The Radission Downtown Salt Lake City is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City near Temple Square, only 20 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport.
- In the hotel are conference rooms, a restaurant, convenience store, business center, pool and gym.
- There are two sizable malls within 2 blocks of the hotel. Sidewalks between the hotel and both malls are wheelchair friendly.
- There are many restaurants within the malls and close to the hotel.
- Trax (light rail) transportation and bike rentals are close to the hotel.
Parking at the Radisson Downtown:
- We expect most guests flying in will not require a vehicle during their stay. Using TRAX for airport transportation is the most convenient option and restaurants and shops are within close walking distance.
- For those driving to the event, there is underground parking at the hotel. We have secured a limited number of complimentary parking spaces.
