Functional Medicine Nutritionist
Coco Newton began her career in conventional dietetics and public health nutrition but soon found that the chronic and complex issues of her patients needed more than her basic background. She pursued advanced training in Functional Medicine Nutrition Therapy (FMNT) and began to look at disease as a mystery to be solved. By incorporating extensive diagnostic assessments and tools, she earned the respect of traditional and integrative doctors with her new standard of care. Her passion is to see the health of people transform from hopeless to getting better.
Coco’s mission is to educate pALS, nutritionists and other healthcare providers to incorporate nutritional strategies to address the systemic imbalances in ALS. She authored the chapter titled "Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis: The Application of Integrative & Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy” which will be published in the 2019 Springer textbook Integrative & Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy.
